North American Strongman (NAS) Amateur Nationals heads out West

The contest will be held November 12th and 13th, 2010 with 3 events on Friday and 4 events on Saturday. The LW and HW athletes will compete both days. The weekend will also include the NAS Women’s National Championships on Friday evening.

“We are very excited about the location and accommodations,” said ASC President/ NAS VP Dione Wessels, “The resort is beautiful and we have several perks for athletes staying at the Grand Sierra including meal discounts, free drink tickets, free transportation to and from the airport, prize money, and much more.” The event will be held outside the casino, but there is an indoor back-up option in case of inclement weather. The top 15 athletes from the heavyweight division and the overall LW winner will be invited to the Amateur Strongman World Championship at the Arnold Sports Festival in 2011.
